The Big Tease
Directed and Produced by Steffie Nelson and Barry Link
NYC
In May 2001, the beautiful and hedonistic city of New Orleans hosted the first Burlesque convention ever, Tease-o-rama. "The Big Tease" chronicles this three-day event, offering a fast-paced, feisty, feminist introduction to the ever-expanding modern Burlesque movement. The film features
interviews with key figures in the current renaissance, including Dita von
Teese, The World Famous Pontani Sisters, The Gun Street Girls, The
Devilettes, and the Shim Shamettes, as well as tantalizing performance
footage that will leave you wanting more. (trt 16:30)
