There is truly no place on earth like New Orleans. We LOVE New Orleans. It's a city that is nearly indescribable. You can feel the history in the air, the music, the sounds and scents. It's just amazing. When we grow-up we all want to live in New Orleans!

While in New Orleans we had the pleasure of dining at what is supposed to be known as one of the most romantic restaurants in New Orleans. We couldn't agree more. The food was amazing and the ambiance perfect. We highly recommend the crab cakes for an appetizer, for the main course either the bleu cheese steak or the gulf fish florentine and peanut butter pie for dessert. Upstairs they even have a little tribute to no one other than the King, Elvis Presley. Check it out!

Royal Blend
This is the place to stop for coffee in New Orleans. I know everyone goes to Cafe Du' Monde, that's a given, you have to go there to try the beignets, but if you want to have some great coffee check out Royal Blend. We never leave without a couple pounds of their wonderful Costa Rican blend. Just remember, when they ask if you want chicory just say YES! Trust us.

The World Famous Mid City Lanes Rock n Bowl
This place is a must in New Orleans! Imagine a bowling alley in the 1950's, Elvis pumping from the juke box and a stage where you can see great rock bands! After your finish your game the lanes shut down and the bands start. Mid City Lanes Rock n Bowl is a great place to visit while in New Orleans. Check out the food too! We highly recommend the crawfish quesadillas and the jamabalaya. And tell John, the proprietor, we said hello!

One Eyed Jacks
Walk into this club and you think that you have just entered your typical hang out. Don't be fooled, go to the back of the bar beyond the big doors, and it looks like a speakeasy from another time. Enjoy checking out your favorite band or burlesque performer while sipping on a cool martini.
